Our romance experts at Shotwell Floral in Fargo are here to remind you that the best way to plan for Valentine’s Day is to plan early. Why We Recommend Ordering Early for Valentine’s Day

1. Take Your Pick of Designs

Every year, millions of bouquets are delivered for Valentine’s Day. As a result, the most popular designs, flowers, and colors sell out fast. To make sure you’re able to order your first choice of floral designs, we recommend ordering at least one or two weeks in advance. If you plan to customize a bouquet or order a special type of flower, please contact us even earlier. We do our best to accommodate all requests, but notifying us early will ensure we have the right flowers in stock for your bouquet.

2. Get a Good Delivery Time

Valentine’s delivery schedules on the 14th and the days leading up to it are extremely hectic. Putting your order in early will give you a higher delivery priority, which means you’ll be able to choose a time that works for you and your recipient.

3. Save Money

Flower prices are usually reduced in January. If you order early enough, you could save some money on your Valentine’s Day flowers. We recommend putting the extra cash toward your romantic plans.

4. Play Up the Romance

This year, February 14th falls on a Friday, which makes it the perfect opportunity for extending the romance throughout the week. Have your flowers delivered on Monday to surprise your Valentine and amplify the excitement. She’ll feel extra-special being one of the first to receive a gift and also get to enjoy the flowers all week long.

5. Prevent Stress

Valentine’s Day is all about romance, but being stressed out because you didn’t plan early enough will squash the warm feelings. Order your flowers early, so you can enjoy your significant other’s company on Valentine’s Day, instead of running around in a crowd of last-minute shoppers, scrambling to piece together a celebration.
